Sleepin' Dogz is a classic rock and blues band from New Castle, PA. The members have come together from various groups, each bringing their own style into the mix. All have been playing for many years and are accomplished musicians.
Guitarist, Stevie K. has been playing for 35 years. Stevie has played with, 'Whiskey and Roses', 'Essence', and 'Princeton Road'. His musical influences include the Allman Bros., Eric Clapton, and numerous blues artists.
Bassist, David 'T-Bird' Lucas, originally from Clearwater, FL has been playing for 40 years with groups such as 'The Quivering Rhythm Hounds' and 'Strange Brew'. His musical history includes blues, rock, and rockabilly.
Drummer, Sam Orrico, a member of 'Triad', and 'The River Saints', has a vast musical background. His unique style and versatility makes him an excellent compliment to the bands' sound.
Vocalist, Chico C., has also been part of different local bands including 'Transportation Free', 'Split Second', and was also a member of 'Princeton Road'. His style has been influenced by R & B, as well as rock.
The band covers a wide variety of classic rock tunes from artists such as: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Allman Bros, CCR, Cream, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, Rolling Stones, Doobie Bros, George Thorogood, and Grand Funk Railroad. Blues greats like Muddy Waters, BB King, and Buddy Guy are included in the selections. The band also throws in some R & B and soul classics.
